In 2007, a slightly modified version of Grande Punto, known as the Abarth Grande Punto was launched. Though it was designed with some modifications in mind, but the final product was way too different.

When it comes to safety, Punto has done exceedingly well in passing all the tests. It got a 5-star rating for the safety of an adult occupant, while it managed a 3-star for a child occupant. From a pedestrian’s point of view it received 3 stars out of 4.

Grande Punto has been a wonderful car for all enthusiasts across the globe. We feel it will keep on serving the people the same way it has been doing till now.

In many ways, the modern Japanese motor vehicle industry was the creation of the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). In the mid-fifties, it provided strong incentives to manufacturers to produce a "people's car". In the mid-sixties, in order to increase Japan's competitiveness in the world car market, MITI engineered a number of mergers of car manufacturers. Nissan acquired the Prince Motor Company and Toyota merged with Hino and Daihatsu. The results were spectacular - in 1962, Japan was the sixth largest vehicle manufacturer in the world and by 1967 it was the second largest. (Japan surpassed the US in 1980, to become the largest manufacturer.)

One of the quintessential recognized Classics, the 1935-1936 Auburn Supercharged 851/852 had prices and demand to suit. Styling was by the late Gordon Buehrig, engineering was by August Duesenberg, and both were directed by Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg president Harold T. Ames. Supercharged Auburns were identified by an outside exhaust on the left side of the hood.

The heart of the ME Four-Twelve is its all-aluminum, quad-turbo, 6.0-liter V-12 engine. With electronic sequential multipoint fuel injection and a 9.0:1 compression ratio, the ME Four-Twelve’s AMG-developed engine delivers 850 bhp @ 5750 rpm, with 850 lb-ft. (1150 N-m) of torque between 2500 and 4500 rpm on premium unleaded fuel. The specific power output translates to 142 bhp/liter, and with a curb weight of just 2880 lbs. (1310 kg), the ME Four-Twelve has the weight-to-power ratio of 3.4 lbs/bhp – each of these sets new performance records and new benchmarks in the super car category.

We showed you the new Zeta-platformed Buick Park Avenue a little earlier today and we were pretty surprised at how non-Buick the styling is, and how plush and non-General the interior looks. The V8 Vantage N400 commemorates Aston Martin's achievements at the Nurburgring where the company enjoyed success in the gruelling ADAC 24-hour race with the V8 Vantage N24 production race car. Aston Martin develops and tests all of its road cars extensively on the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit and the Vantage N400 recently broke the eight minute benchmark around the legendary 14-mile circuit.
